(Prologue)

At the cliffs of Dor, in the southwestern-most part of lower Eldslunds, a group has gathered. In a cave tucked away in the cliffs, the Sect of the Barrows conduct a forbidden ritual, of which the consequences are not fully known. The Sect has released some feral curse upon the world, a curse of lycanthropy!

(Howl)

Berhert wakes up in the middle of a barren battlefield scattered with the bodies of his fallen brethren. There is an arrow protruding from his chest, and he is assuming that he should be dead. There are bite marks on his arm, deep bites. Berhert looks around and is overwhelmed with the feeling of guilt for his survival over his fallen brothers in arms. He wanders the field and sees that the bodies have been ravaged by something monstrous. The sun is setting and the moon is rising and Berhert’s body starts to feel strange. A cracking and bubbling is taking place in his body at the sight of the full moon. Berhert’s mind is racing as his body starts to change, with hair sprouting from all about his flesh. He is now something other than human, a werewolf.
